We are seeking a professional like you to serve as Warehouse Manager at our Catano, Puerto Rico site with direct responsibility for coaching and developing a team of professionals (4) responsible for customer order picking/handling, waste management, site security, transportation planning/scheduling and warehousing. As a key leader within the Supply Chain Organization, we rely on you to ensure that materials and products are available when needed to satisfy customer requirements.

What you'll do.....

• Coaching and developing warehouse staff.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant requirements for the shipping and receiving of hazardous materials.

• Being responsible for managing the site, transportation and inventory management to ensure the seamless flow of inbound and outbound finished products.

• Maintaining accurate inventory for the warehouse.

• Ensuring resources and tools are available for employees to safely complete their job tasks. Additionally, you will ensure department SOP's are defined and employees adhere to EHS and departmental standard operating procedures.

• Performing budget analysis and cost tracking to identify areas for service improvements and cost optimization/reduction. Additionally, you will develop, monitor, and work to improve Warehouse Performance KPIs.

• Preparing for and representing BASF Refinish Coatings in audits related to shipping and receiving. You will also interact with internal and external customers in a helpful and friendly manner and to understand customer needs.

• Identifying and implementing improvements in site policies, processes, and procedures to ensure end-to-end accountability.

• Delivering on commitments is critical to this role. Although not required, certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society is highly desired.

• Supporting order to cash (OTC) activities, such as printing labels, executing shipments in SAP, producing shipment documentation for third party warehouses, tracking shipments, confirming delivery and working with the customer care, logistics, or regulatory team to address any problems.

• Working successfully you will assist other warehouses, attend meetings, and participate in conference calls and cross functional projects, as needed.

If you have....

• Degree in a related field strongly preferred. 5+ years expertise in a similar Supply Chain / Logistics capacity.

• Experience in a warehouse environment

• Supervisory/management experience

• Unwavering commitment to workplace safety, paired with your knowledge and training in DOT and IATA regulations

• Knowledge of warehousing practices

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong business acumen

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Strong skills relative to project coordination, time management, multi-tasking

• Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and other information systems
