Position Title: Warehouse Crane Operator

Location: Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Pay: $20/hour to $25/hour - Pay is based on experience

Hours: Monday - Friday 6 AM to 5 PM

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Overhead Crane Operator to join our team. The Overhead Crane Operator will be responsible for operating overhead cranes to move and position steel materials within our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or warehouse environment and a strong commitment to safety and quality but we are open to training the right candidate!

Responsibilities:

• Operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position steel materials within the facility, following established procedures and safety guidelines.

• Inspect overhead crane equipment before each use to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to management.

• Communicate with other team members to coordinate the movement of materials and ensure efficient workflow.

• Load and unload trucks and railcars using overhead cranes, ensuring that all materials are handled safely and securely.

• Follow all safety procedures and regulations while operating overhead cranes, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment

• Maintain accurate records of crane operations and material movements, documenting any issues or incidents as required.

• Assist with other duties as needed, including material handling, inventory control, and general warehouse tasks.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 6 months experience operating overhead cranes in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

• Valid overhead crane operator certification preferred.

• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to overhead crane operation.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders.

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
