    Position Description:

    Bank OZK is hiring a VP, Data Product Management, to lead the cross-functional initiatives that focus on improving the adoption of data products within the bank. The position will work cross-functionally to identify and validate opportunities to grow adoption and remove barriers to adoption and growth. This role will help the Data Engineering & Management team deliver capabilities and experiences that help business users adopt, love, and grow the use of data products.Job Purpose and Scope:

    As the VP, Data Product Management, you will be a member in the Data Product Management function. In the VP role, you will focus on forging partnerships with stakeholders to understand their data and prioritize data development activities across various lines of business. You will be responsible for assessing, documenting, planning, and managing solutions that will enhance the Bank's business intelligence and analytic capabilities. You will collaborate as a "player-coach" while demonstrating exceptional customer service, solutioning, planning, and organization skills. You will work independently, yet collaboratively, to achieve results on multiple, concurrent priorities.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Interface with stakeholders throughout the project and development process to achieve buy-in and maintain alignment with business goals and objectives.

    • Develop business requirements, define functional design, conduct status meetings, and provide post-production support.

    • Utilize Project Management and Product Management best practices to create high quality deliverables and well managed delivery schedules.

    • Work with QA and Deployment teams to ensure smooth and well-documented releases.

    • Work in partnership with data engineering team to manage the team's Jira backlog and provide prioritization of work efforts, ensuring alignment with the Data Development Lifecycle

    • Demonstrate initiative and identify opportunities to improve applicable processes and relationships throughout the Bank.

    • Champion data best practices.

    • Assess emerging and industry transforming technologies through research, prototype, and development activities.

    • Communicate frequently with senior management to ensure priority alignment.

    • Maintain robust change management controls in accordance with regulatory and Bank standards.

    • Enthusiastically embrace, support, and model the Bank's values and mission.

    • Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.

    • Leads release planning and adheres to the Change Management Standard to ensure operational integrity is maintained.

    • Supports ongoing management of data technology solutions in the area of data governance and enterprise data management.

    • Provides guidance for data acquisition and downstream data management from source systems and existing data assets.

    • Provides collaboration and mentoring to business user's data solution.

    • Builds rapport and an understanding with all levels of the broader Bank technology organization.

    • Organizes and completes quality assurance and user acceptance testing as needed through coordination with Quality Assurance team and/or business end users.

    • Conducts post-implementation monitoring activities to ensure changes are function as expected

    • May lead and supervise other related positions.

    • Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions.

    • Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work.

    • Follows Bank policy, procedures, and guidelines.

    • Ensure compliance with internal/external regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.

    • Knowledge and experience in the creation, delivery, and management of application or data solutions.

    • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and interact with all levels of employees.

    • Ability to maintain focus for sustained time periods to deliver on individual or multiple assigned tasks.

    • Ability to multi-task and maintain excellent attention to detail.

    • Ability to work independently without close supervision.

    • Skill in using computer and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

    Position Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a job-related field or commensurate work experience, required.

    • 5+ years of work experience in requirements development, data analysis, data development, data science, and/or product management experience, required.

    • Experience working with data analysts/scientists, preferred.

    • Experience utilizing and managing a Jira environment to plan and monitor work product delivery, preferred.

    • Experience in creating requirements specifications to support product development of data models, data lakes, ETLs and data warehousing development processes, preferred.

    • Experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform, preferred.
