  • ROLE SUMMARY:

    As a function in the Commercial Analytics & AI (CAAI) division within Pfizer, Insight Strategy & Execution (ISE) plays a critical role to enable Pfizer's commercial brand strategy. This team functions as internal consultants and brand strategists that partner with senior commercial and cross-functional leaders, activating data driven problem solving in a way that the business can execute to drive impact and unlock value.

    Pfizer is seeking a Vice President of Insight Strategy & Execution (ISE) ISE who will be a leader of highly experienced team leads responsible for driving commercial analytics agenda, insights for market & brand strategy & performance across International markets. This individual will act as a thought partner to senior International Commercial division leaders, sitting on their respective LTs and leveraging analyses that impact markets & brands decisions to drive business growth. This VP role will empower the ISE team of analytics strategists and TA (therapeutic area) experts to execute at their highest potential, and drive a spirit of innovation and out-of-the-box thinking that will drive competitive advantage. In addition, they will influence senior market leads and ensure the activation of the right analytics solutions and capabilities, while inspiring, leading and developing new ISE colleagues.

    The successful candidate leverages the full set of analytic tools and capabilities in cross-functional teams, guiding the overall delivery of exceptional analytics-driven insights, with a track record of affecting positive decision driving business growth. This candidate has proven thought leadership within his/her industry space and possesses a strong entrepreneurial drive, thrives on intellectual challenge. They are further equipped to enable this strong opinion-driven approach among their team, through consistent mentorship and ongoing support.

    ROLE RESPONSBILITIES:

    Market & Brand Strategy

    • Provide strategic thought partnership to International business leaders to drive investment decisions.

    • Act as strategic partner to frame, investigate, and answer key business questions related to the identification and evaluation of commercial strategies and tactics.

    • Translate market and TA priorities into business needs and enable multi-disciplinary problem solving.

    • Lead the collection of information needs and development of research and data analysis plans.

    • Develop and execute creation of in-house knowledge base to drive patient and HCP insights.

    • Lead the connection of research and analytics together to tell a compelling and persuasive story and deliver clear and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

    Promotional Performance and Execution Insights

    • Lead team that develops and monitors key performance metrics to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of marketing and field force.

    • Lead team that recommends promotional improvement and corrective actions.

    • Integrate promotional insights to broader analytic activities to paint the full picture of marketing & field force execution and customer behavior and inform resource allocation decisions.

    • Assist in advancing the vision for the future direction of market & brand activities (Journey Orchestration, Next Best Action, etc ).

    Forecasting / Operating Plan Support

    • In partnership with key Pfizer stakeholders, oversee development of Long-Range Forecasts (LRFs) and Operating Plans.

    • Drive the creation of best-in-class epi- and trend-based forecast models in partnership with CoE colleagues.

    • Review and enhance forecasts or strategic market& brand plans with strong expertise in ability to qualify and quantify the business opportunity, including communicating results and recommendations to senior leadership.

    • Ensure accurate effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of market/brand performance to leadership, including clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business.

    Collaboration with other Analytics Teams

    • Lead dialogue to integrate insights across various cross-functional teams - data science, analytics engineering, market research, performance analytics, analytics governance.

    • Actively contribute to advancement of team capabilities through thought leadership; seek to share knowledge and expertise with other colleagues making use of knowledge sharing platform.

    • Alignment with other analytic teams to ensure cohesive agenda and activities with our stakeholders.

    • Partner with other analytic functions to advance the use of novel data sources including RWD.

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

    • BA/BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Marketing, or similar related field required; MS or MBA preferred.

    • 20+ years in analytics consulting, commercial analytics, or finance

    • 10+ years leading business analytics teams in biopharmaceuticals and international markets

    • Experience leading highly effective and cohesive cross-functional analytics teams that working in modern analytics environment, such as big data and cloud technology, scripting language

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and to influence and drive change at all levels in an organization

    • Team-orientation and collaborative approach; outstanding listening skills and the ability to manage through influence

    • Executive presence, comfortable functioning at the highest levels of organizations; excellent presentation skills, including strong verbal and writing capabilities

    • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively - both verbally and in writing

    The annual base salary for this position ranges from $239,300.00 to $398,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
