    Job Description Summary:

    The Vice President, Compliance Business Partner serves as the primary point of contact and liaison between our Compliance Program and Business Development, Purchasing & Supply Chain and Commercial teams (Business Teams). This role is responsible for promoting awareness and compliance with Company policy, advising on business initiatives, strategic objectives, changes in our regulatory environment as well as day-to-day operational questions from our Business Teams. The Vice President, Compliance Business Partner champions our company-wide culture of integrity and compliance and provides guidance to internal and external business partners including. This position will report to Option Care's SVP, Chief Compliance & Privacy Officer.

    Job Responsibilities (listed in order of importance and/or time spent)

    • Act as a trusted advisor to our Business Teams providing strategic guidance and support on compliance-related matters, including regulatory and policy requirements, implementation of process, controls, and risk mitigation activities.

    • Propose innovative solutions to achieve business objectives, enabling risk-based decision-making within ethical boundaries and optimizing business performance.

    • Serves as a subject matter expert in health care compliance including, but not limited to fraud, waste and abuse; Medicare & Medicaid billing requirements; and interactions with healthcare professionals.

    • Understand macro and micro implications of the business challenges and potential solutions including assisting business partners with the risk/benefit analysis.

    • Partner with our Business Teams to integrate compliance considerations into strategic planning, decision-making processes, and new business initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate values and objectives.

    • Lead the development and implementation of compliance programs, policies, and procedures tailored to the needs of the Business Teams.

    • Interface and collaborate across the business with functions including Operations, Market Access, Internal Audit, Legal, Revenue Cycle Management, Clinical & Quality, Human Resources and Finance and others as required.

    • Serve as a liaison between the Compliance Department and Business Teams, facilitating communication, coordination, and collaboration on compliance-related initiatives and projects.

    • Support our continuous improvement mindset for Option Care's Compliance program by sharing business insights and examples of compliance-in-action with the Compliance team, recommending program enhancements and leading the implementation of certain program updates.

    • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure integration of appropriate policy into the development of programs, including oversight and/or review and approval of programs and processes with our Business Teams other functions.

    • Collaborates with Compliance Operations on healthcare professional engagement process, Corporate Integrity Agreement requirements, internal investigations, policy updates, exceptions approval and training.

    • Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting healthcare compliance, and proactively advise stakeholders on emerging issues and potential impacts.

    • Partners with Compliance Operations on investigations, monitoring and auditing activities, and compliance including the implementation of corrective action.

    • Follows and educates on our external regulatory landscape including OIG Guidance, corporate compliance program guidance, special fraud alerts, etc. and drives policy enhancements to align with our regulatory environment.

    • Identify opportunities for education and deliver compliance training to new and existing employees in partnership with the Compliance Operations Team.

    • Supports the Compliance Officer with M&A compliance activities including, but not limited to, due diligence activities, risk assessment and mitigation plans and integration management.

    Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

    • 12+ years of pharmaceutical, healthcare or other compliance experience including compliance business partnership, monitoring, auditing or investigations.

    • Proven experience in a leadership role overseeing compliance functions in the healthcare industry, with a deep understanding of healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, and Medicare/Medicaid requirements.

    Basic Qualifications

    • Knowledge of and experience with laws, regulations and industry guidance that affect the health care industry including OIG and PhRMA guidelines, healthcare standard operating procedures,

    • Strong project and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, meet deadlines, and develop process efficiencies where required.

    • Able to work independently and know when to appropriately escalate an issue for resolution.

    • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with individuals up, down, and across the organization.

    • Demonstrated leadership skills, including ability to lead change management efforts through effective cross functional communication and persuasion.

    • Experience participating in ongoing risk assessments to identify potential compliance risks and vulnerabilities within the organization, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implementing mitigations.

    • Leverage and provide ongoing direction, oversight, coaching and development to shared Compliance staff and foster a team culture of diversity, inclusion, connectivity and professional growth.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and communicate complex compliance concepts in a clear and concise manner.

    • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

    Preferred Qualifications & Interests (PQIs)

    • In house experience in a corporate compliance program at a publicly traded company

    Due to some state pay transparency laws, below is the minimum pay for the position:

    Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
