Position: General Helper

Reports To: Manufacturing Manager

Position Description:

• Functions as a supplier and mover of material and products for all operations and departments of the company, utilizing gas and electric forklift equipment as required.

• Primary purpose is to assist in maintaining continuity of production throughout the facility and maintain Taunton back yard and reels.

• Responsible for accurate inventory transactions using electronic scanning guns.

• Responsible for the continuous improvement in the set-up procedures.

• Will perform preventive maintenance procedures, 5S activities and participate in continuous improvement events.

• Must maintain work area in a safe and orderly condition at all times.

• Ensure that all products meet specifications and the requirements defined by the Prysmian Group Quality Management System.

• Comply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.

• Will be required to work overtime as needed.

• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management

Education:

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English

Experience:

• Forklift experience or forklift certified preferred

• Some manufacturing experience preferred

• Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner

Skills/Attributes:

• Must be able to work independently according to verbal and written instructions

• Must learn basic computer transactions and inputs; must have ability to become certified SAP User

• Must have basic math and communication skills. Must develop and maintain proficiency in required job skills

• Must be capable of lifting or moving 50 lbs. and occasionally lifting or moving 75 lbs.

• Must be able to distinguish different colors
