Traypack Machine Operator

Shift: This role is 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM

Hourly Rate: $19.24 an hour + $$0.25 shift differential

Conagra Brands, located in Imlay City, MIchigan, home of the Vlasic brand has need for an afternoon shift Tray pack (casing machine) operator. You will work onsite reporting to Production Lead and Team Lead. You will receive $19.24/hour plus shift premium $0.25.

What will you do:

The Tray pack Operator ensures the operation of the tray pack (casing) machine and shrink wrap devices. You will perform machine set up following standard. You will load materials; you will troubleshoot, and you will perform routine quality verifications. You will work in a team environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate the tray pack/shrink wrap machine.

• Operate mash coder including changes and setup.

• Monitor quality of operation such as coding, tray assembly, and label applications.

• Perform quality checks observing timely completion.

• Load tray blanks, stretch film and hot melt.

• Ensure machine and surrounding area is kept neat and sanitary.

• Adapt to changing situations

• Collaborate with co-workers, Quality Assurance, Production Leads and Team Leads.

• Train employees.

• Complete documentation following industry standards.

• Maintain an acceptable attendance record.

• Read and interpret a variety of instructions/documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

• Ensure actions remain consistent with plant safety goals and procedures.
