Test Engineer (Hybrid)

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Test Engineer to assist with testing various capabilities in support of a scrum team, along with supporting the integrated testing of the full baseline. This engineer will be responsible for both agile (functional) and integration testing of capabilities to ensure the delivery according to the program's plan. They will be integrated with development scrum teams and work daily wit them to validate capabilities being built.

Skills and Requirements

Must Haves

* 4+ YOE in software testing in a scrum and/or virtual machine environment

* Expereince conducting both functional and nonfunctional testing.

* Degree in Computer Science or a related field

* Experience with testing software in an agile SW program.

* Experience with test cases, procedures, and documented results.

* Virtual Machines Expereince

Pluses

* Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Bitbucket/Stash, Nexus)

* Experience with Windows, Linux, and Virtual Machines

* Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, JMeter, or the python language

* Experience testing RESTful APIs

* Automation testing

Day to Day

* Support the development of system test solutions.

* Experience with the Agile or Scrum development methodology.

* Conducting both functional and non-functional testing, back-end and front-end components.

* Troubleshooting issues and working closely with developers.

* Prepare and execute comprehensive system/element level test plans, procedures, and test events.

* Testing a large system, made up of several microservices/modules.

* Participate in integrated testing activities and resolving conflicts for competing systems.

* Document test requirements and methodologies.

* Review system engineering documentation to ensure test plans and methodologies meet system needs and are accurate, comprehensive, consistent, and complete.

* Support the development of system integration plans, procedures and scenarios used in the conduct of software/hardware system integration testing.

* Monitor system performance trends and identify potential issues.
