  • Clinical Applications Specialist

    POSITION PROFILE

    The Clinical Applications Specialist role is to promote and sell 3D anatomic modeling services to healthcare providers. This role will identify new sales leads for Ricoh 3D products, travel to customer locations to demonstrate products to potential buyers and provide services to existing customers. In addition, the position will work with healthcare practitioners to educate them on the use of Ricoh 3D solutions and to help them solve problems and utilize design thinking to create novel solutions for them.

    To ensure success a clinical applications specialist will create and maintain an extensive sales network and demonstrate experience as a salesperson in the medical device field. The clinical specialist should become widely known and be a trusted brand ambassador for Ricoh 3D for healthcare and its services.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify potential buyers and cultivate sales pipeline.

    • Travel to clinical care locations to drive Ricoh 3D for Healthcare sales activities.

    • Work with internal departments regarding product features, functionalities, and drive utilization of On-Demand or On-Premises (Point of Care) 3D anatomic modeling services

    • Maintaining sales records within CRM or tracking document

    • Meet and exceed sales metrics.

    • Conducts events and programs to educate clinical staff on the use of patient specific solutions provided by Ricoh 3D.

    • Works closely with Ricoh production staff and Point of Care Staff to drive business and insure maximum customer satisfaction.

    • Accommodate the rapidly changing schedules of healthcare professionals in setting appointments

    • Memorize product features/advantages/benefits, unique selling points, and present their functionalities, using applicable medical terminology.

    • Conduct post-sale training sessions to individual product users, professional teams, or healthcare departments.

    • Manages and provides as required weekly updates, accurate territory sales forecast, monthly status reports, and quarterly sales projection reports as required.

    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within medical device and healthcare field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

    • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.

    • Maintain existing customer networks and informing customers of upgrades or new product lines or indications.

    • Analyze competitor products and highlight Ricoh's unique product features in sales pitches

    • Complete sales contracts, expedite purchase orders, and ensure seamless supply.

    • Responsible for services revenue and profit growth for Ricoh 3D for Healthcare of assigned territory.

    • Conducts business as a representative of Ricoh 3D for Healthcare with the highest ethical and professional standards.

    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

    Typically Required

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, biology, biomedical engineering, pre-medical, anatomy, mechanical engineering, or another technical/business field

    • 5+ years of Sales, research, or clinical experience in a medical field

    • Additive manufacturing experience (desired)

    • Experience with working in a clinical environment

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

    • Exceptional sales skills and the ability to demonstrate product features

    • Knowledge or key medical procedure, anatomy/physiology/pathology, and knowledge of generalized medical terminology

    • Extensive experience in identifying new customers, negotiating deals, and meeting sales targets

    • Experience in recordkeeping and managing sales contracts

    • Willingness to travel extensively and to be away from home, when required

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills suited to medical professionals

    WORKING CONDITIONS, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    • Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

    • Work is mostly sedentary, but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weight less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files and small parts, etc.).

    • Requires moderate dexterity; regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, etc.).

    • Requires daily customer site visits whose locations may or may not be serviced by public transportation.
