    Position Summary:

    The Accounting Coordinator will assist with preparation and filing of Company licenses and non-income tax returns. They will be responsible for conducting tax research regarding licenses, assist on audits, and work on other department projects.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and file Canadian and U.S. Company license renewals

    • Gather supporting documentation and prepare working papers in support of license filings

    • Leverage existing license software to track license due dates and update documentation

    • Conduct tax research when new licenses are required

    • Prepare and submit tax payment requests

    • Prepare mailing envelopes and FedEx packages as needed

    • Provide tax and audit support to Core-Mark's operations in the US and Canada

    • Participate in Tax Department projects as required

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of demonstrated accounting experience preferred - i.e., Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable / Bookkeeping

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with strong Excel skills

    • Experience with SAP (or similar ERP systems) and an aptitude to learn new software is a plus

    • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized with the ability to multi-task

    • Exposure to and interest in tax compliance and tax research

    • A team-player with effective interpersonal skills and in-office work experience
