Systems Engineer

Description We are seeking a Systems Engineer in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This role primarily involves systems engineering, with a smaller focus on networking. The successful candidate will work with on-prem cloud technology in the systems space, and will guide Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to ensure efficient and effective operations. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Engage in systems engineering tasks, constituting approximately 80% of the job function

• Provide guidance to MSPs to ensure their efficient operation

• Utilize and maintain knowledge of Cisco Technologies, Citrix Technologies, and IBM

• Handle and maintain Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory

• Demonstrate expertise in Windows AD at the Sr engineer level

• Manage and maintain on-prem storage, specifically the Dell Unity platform

• Exhibit proficiency in vSphere

• Utilize knowledge of WAN architecture, specifically LAN experience with switches and Meraki

• Work with Azure/AD hybrid and AWS technologies

• Undertake Database management, IIS, Active Directory, and Backup Technologies tasks

• Oversee Configuration Management, Deployments, and Design tasks. Requirements - Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies is essential

• Familiarity with Database management and operations

• Experience with Active Directory is required

• Knowledge of Backup Technologies is necessary

• Should have experience in Configuration Management

• Experience in successfully Deploying systems

• Ability to Design systems as per the project requirements

• Proficiency in vSphere is a must

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure Active Directory is necessary

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required

• Required to have relevant certifications in systems engineering or related fields

• Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize them effectively

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
