Responsibilities

Operate the organization's telecommunication system to answer and route incoming calls and to

communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements.

• Receive and relay internal and external calls and provide general information according to protocol.

• Maintain desk directories, on-call list, reference guides and other associated reference materials.

• Operate beeper and paging system to contact personnel and code team.

• Communicate codes, alerts, drills and other announcements according to established policies and protocols, including disaster management plans.

Requirements

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Additional Preferences

One year experience in high volume call center or switchboard operation with focus on Customer Service is preferred.

Computer training in Google doc and sheet is preferable.

Technical Skills

Must be adept with office equipment typically found in a business office environment.

Excellent typing skills are essential, minimum of 40 words per minute required

PC skills in Windows based programs and/or related training (such as PC based messaging, Intellidesk or Answering Service system) preferred.

Will be required to become proficient in the use of a variety of computer-based systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
