The Kidde business is a part of the Fire and Security Products group at Carrier. We are dedicated to providing product and technology designed to protect people and property from the effects of fire and its related hazards. As a large manufacturer of fire safety products, Kidde meet the safety needs of homes and businesses by providing fire extinguishers, smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, strobes, and other products.
About this role
As a leader and member of the supply planning team, the Supply Planning Manager will play an integral part in fulfilling customer demand by effectively managing the team and the relationship with the corresponding suppliers and cross-functional teams within the business of Kidde. The Supply Planning Manager reports to the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP) organization.
Duties include but are not limited to Demand Planning, Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Logistics, Product Management, and Finance. This opportunity is for someone who is motivated, with strong analytical skills and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
The Supply Planning Manager needs to be onsite (with a little flexibility to work from home) in Mebane NC .

Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of Buyer/Planners and Master Scheduler(s) in support of customer fulfillment
Achieve 98% "fill rates" to customers and adhere to business inventory targets
Perform analytics to ensure the optimal amount of inventory is "on hand" and "on order"
Work closely with supplier(s) to drive down cost and lead times; foster an environment of continuous improvement
Drive supplier(s) on-time delivery to greater than 95%
Drive 95% production and schedule attainment
Actively work to support supplier(s); address material shortages and issues delaying fulfillment of open purchase orders
Escalate and leverage business resources accordingly
Confirm accurate visibility to business on delivery dates on open orders from supplier(s)
Report to Sales and Customer Service supply information to obtain necessary and accurate details to properly set expectations with customers
Review and analyze forecast generated through the SIOP process
Guarantee a published netted forecast monthly to each supplier
Warrant maintenance of planning systems data integrity (pricing, lead times, service levels, delivery dates)
Identify gaps in processes related to the supply chain; conduct root cause analysis and identify strategies to build the gaps; implement identified processes to closure
Make sure discrepancies received are addressed in a timely manner in order to avoid delayed payment to supplier(s) and subsequent interruptions to the business
Manage the compilation/analysis of data to identify opportunities for improving material replenishment
Lead/drive business and system transformation projects and new initiatives
Support reporting and presentations to leadership and stakeholders
Assist with the Supply Planning Review, Executive SIOP review, and the General SIOP process
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production planning, or direct material purchasing
2+ years of experience in leading and monitoring a team
Preferred Qualifications
APICS certification
Proficient in Supply Chain planning techniques, inventory management, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), and Master Production Schedule (MPS)
Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment
Experience with JDE or similar ERP system
Microsoft Office with advanced Excel, Kinaxis and PowerBI
High level of urgency, problem-solving techniques, customer customer-oriented
Analytical, data manipulation, and data management skills
English verbal and written communication skills
Leadership skills
Effective leverage of business tools
