    What you can expect to do here:

    • Perform Calculations and Assessments for various structures, under the supervision of a Senior Engineer

    • Perform such calculations using current design software and advanced finite element modelling underpinned by a sound understanding of basic principles

    • Be curious to explore and help advance the concepts of design automation

    • Respond to client requests as needed to help further their business

    • Write technical reports when required

    • Assist in coordination of project documentation under supervision of project manager

    • Contribute to the preparation of detail drawings, sections and standard details, and ensure quality adherence

    • Review contract documents, shop drawings and respond to contractor inquiries

    • Conduct field reviews and condition assessments

    • High focus on ability to develop creative solutions in complex environments in response to unexpected site and project challenges at short notice and in collaboration with the project team

    • Occasional travel for site assessments and site support

    What you'll bring to WSP:

    • Developing knowledge of the National Building Code, as well as other applicable codes and standards.

    • Strong load path understanding

    • Strength in any of the following software - ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, RAM and/or Robot

    • Display a value-adding attitude through dynamic, unconventional and disruptive thinking within a solution driven environment.

    • Highly responsive, team minded, client centric and proactive

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Willing to try, to fail, to learn, and to try again

    • Dedicated team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Excellent organizational and technical writing skills
