    Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for Structural Analysis Engineers to join the Structures team within our Customer Support Operations Center team in Seal Beach, CA.

    We are a team that supports all in-service Boeing Commercial Airplane models, including programs such as the MD-10, MD-11, 737, 747, 757, 767, 777 and the 787. As team members, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges across different models and sections of the airplane.

    We are seeking talented, detail-oriented, and collaborative Structural Analysis Engineers who are excited about encountering diverse airplane models and solving challenges. In this role, you'll quickly address repairs for in-service aircraft, working closely with other structures teams within Customer Support. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in developing repairs, facilitating communication across various teams within and outside of Boeing, providing mentorship to fellow engineers, and spearheading process improvements to deliver exceptional customer support.

    Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including, Experienced and Senior Structural Analysis Engineers.

    This position requires flexibility in work hours. Generally, the work schedule consists of 7 days on and 7 days off, with shifts typically being 12AM to 12PM or 12PM to 12AM.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Develops structural repairs on all Boeing and MD series models

    • Conduct static and fatigue analyses for primary and secondary structures

    • Collaborates with customers via verbal and written communications

    • Communicates with Boeing and customer executive leadership

    • Performs review of customer requests and determine the best avenue for resolution

    • Provide repair solutions and approval forms to customers

    • Collaborates with multiple Boeing teams to develop repair solutions

    • Reviews outgoing customer messages to ensure content and quality

    • Initiates proactive repair solutions across the Boeing fleet

    • Analyzes and develops substantiation packages for repairs and/or fly-on limits

    • Conducts research of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer

    • Assesses incoming customer communications to resolve potential fleet safety issues

    • Identifies the need for technical training

    • Helps customers keep their aircraft flying safely by addressing urgent "Aircraft on Ground" (AOG) issues

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

    • 3+ years of experience working with structural analysis of composite and metal structures

    • 3+ years of experience with structural analysis methods and repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques, damage tolerance methods used in maintenance programs)

    • 3+ years of experience with aircraft structural design

    • 3+ years of experience with structural repair

    • This position requires 24/7-day operation support. The selected candidate must be able to work any hours as needed based on mission requirements

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    • Experience with Boeing aircraft data and documents

    • Experience with CSW, IAS, and other BCA tools

    • Experience working with and supporting customers (e.g. Airlines, Operators, Lessors)

    • Prior experience with AOG resolution

    • Working on structural analysis teams

    • Damage Tolerance analysis

    • Managing fast-paced workload

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Typical Education/Experience:

    • Experienced (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

    • Senior (Level 4): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

    • Senior (Level 5): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard. Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $96,000 - $141,000

    Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $124,100 - $167,900

    Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 5): $146,200 - $197,800
