Sr. Utilities Technician

Job Description

As a Sr. Utilities Technician you will be on the Operations and Maintenance team performing routine maintenance on the boiler and boiler systems at the facility. Equipment you will be responsible for maintaining will include but not be limited to low pressure and high-pressure boilers, steam boilers, and power boilers. This candidate will maintain and replace vales, filters, steam gauges, turbines, pumps, compressors, water lines, steam lines, piping, and other related systems. The ideal candidate will have a high conscious for safety due to being in an environment with extreme temperatures, steam, electrical, loud noises, and heights.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of hands on mechanical experience with boilers, hot water pumps, deep water pumps, chilled water pumps, chiller tubes, compressors, pipes, flush valves, steam gauges, etc.

Experience testing boiler water and water chemistry.

Experience observing pressure, temperature, and draft meters on panel to verify specified operation of automatic combustion control systems, feed water regulators, and burners. Experience working in a life sciences environment
