  • The Senior Manager, Human Resources will team with leadership to optimize talent, structure, processes, and culture. The role will anticipate, identify, and respond to opportunities timely, and maintain responsibility for the delivery of all HR services whether delivered personally or in collaboration with colleagues in HR. The incumbent will utilize knowledge in employee and labor relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational design and development, talent management, talent acquisition and HR processes and systems.

    What will you own?

    • Managing, mentoring and developing an on-site support team of 2-3 HR business partners to ensure the delivery of excellent HR services, effective business partnering, and consistency in approach.

    • Providing high-level advice, support, and guidance on employee and labor relations to line managers and internal client groups with the support of the Legal team.

    • Upholding the Company's position on the Collective Bargaining Agreement while maintaining positive relations with the local union, particularly in hiring, promotion, and coaching of the workforce.

    • Participating in the grievance process, including arbitration.

    • Strategically and operationally partnering with business segments to ensure HR support aligns with their objectives.

    • Partnering with HR centers of expertise to implementing HR initiatives within business groups and providing proactive support.

    • Contributing to HR and business reporting processes on a monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis.

    • Providing overall support and direction for delivering an effective, efficient HR service within the designated area.

    • Collaborating with HR colleagues to influence reward and resourcing strategies to attract, engage, and retain talent.

    • Working with managers to resolve individual performance/capability issues.

    • Designing and executing internal projects to enhance employee engagement.

    • Participating in employee satisfaction feedback processes and promoting participation.

    • Partnering to develop learning and talent development plans in alignment with organizational priorities.

    • Assessing current and future resource and talent levels across the department in collaboration with the Leadership team.

    • Performing other related job duties as assigned.

    • Ability to travel as needed ~15%

    • This position may require hours outside of normal work hours to support business needs.

    What will you have?

    • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in HR or related discipline preferred, or equivalent related experience.

    • 12+ years of related experience, including 5-7 years in a strategic Human Resources Business Partner role managing a team with at least 5 years in a union environment required.

    • Extensive employee relations experience in a manufacturing/plant environment engaging with executive to hourly employees.

    • Excellent judgment, critical thinking, relationship-building, conflict management, and influencing skills.

    • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to a nuclear facility.

    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture.

    • Exudes executive presence through confident demeanor, polished communication skills, and authoritative yet approachable demeanor, projecting leadership qualities that inspire trust and respect among colleagues, clients, and internal/external stakeholders.

    • Negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

    Additional Skills

    • Experience with an IPP (independent power producer) is a plus.

    • J.D or law degree is a plus.
