Sr. Internal Auditor

Primarily Remote Senior Internal Audit Opportunity. 1 day per week in office!

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Internal Auditor. The position is based in Charlotte, North Carolina. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing internal controls, managing risk, and ensuring compliance within the company.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits and reviews to identify risks and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's internal controls.

• Utilize audit programs, CobiT, and data mining techniques to gather and analyze data.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure compliance with DCAA and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Oversee accounting functions and prepare detailed audit findings reports.

• Present audit reports to management and recommend improvements in policies and procedures.

• Perform audits of financial statements in accordance with the Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.

• Evaluate the adequacy of the system of internal controls to prevent and detect fraud.

• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.

• Provide advice and guidance to management on risk management and internal control matters.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of audit industry standards and best practices.

Requirements - Proficiency in Audit Program and Auditing principles is essential

• Knowledge of CobiT framework is required

• Familiarity with Data Mining Techniques is a plus

• Experience with DCAA regulations and procedures is preferred

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is beneficial

• Understanding of Accounting Functions and principles is necessary

• Ability to document and present Audit Findings clearly and concisely

• Experience in creating detailed Audit Reports

• Knowledge of Compliance standards in the Transportation Equipment Manufacturing industry is required.
