Sr. Electrical Engineer

Job Description

An engineering consulting firm is looking to hire a Sr. Electrical Engineer. Schedule is hybrid 3 days on average onsite/week. Will need to be local to one of the firms office locations. The Sr. Electrical Engineer will be the main point of contact and the engineer of record for large mid-heavy industrial projects (large industrial plants with heavy processes ex. EV battery manufacturing facilities). They will lead the project, assign tasks, monitor project budget, schedule, scope, and performance. They are not in a management role but will have a team of 10-12 entry level designers who will handle production tasks. The scope includes designing all electrical systems within massive complex facilities. They handle the design for power, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, LV infrastructure and other facility systems necessary for manufacturing. Will be on many virtual meetings with clients and internal teams - occasional travel to project sites is necessary for client interactions.

Skills and Requirements

MUST be a P.E. (Professional Engineer)

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

10+ years of electrical design experience in industrial or manufacturing space (facility design in large industrial plants, must be large scale)

Experience writing specs, creating design deliverables

Experience with power design/power systems such as MV switchgear design, large industrial power equipment, power studies, harmonic analysis, SKM, PowerTools, etc.)

Revit experience

Ability to multi-task and manage large projects

Essential to have solid communication skills and the ability to speak with clients and coordinate necessary conversations/individuals to complete the project null
