BayCare is currently in search of our newest pediatric Speech Therapist - Pool for Bartow Regional Medical Center. We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with expertise in dysphagia assessment and treatment to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping individuals with communication and swallowing disorders achieve their maximum potential.

Speech Therapist Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing the appropriate level of clinical direction for therapists completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), Speech Language Pathology students and volunteers.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessment tools and clinical observations.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's needs, focusing on improving communication and/or swallowing function.

• Provide evidence-based therapy techniques to address speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing deficits.

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and dietitians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.

• Educate clients and their families on strategies to facilitate communication and safe swallowing at home and in other environments.

• Document evaluation findings, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and in a timely manner.

• Stay current with advances in the field of speech-language pathology, particularly in the areas of dysphagia assessment and treatment.

• Adhere to ethical and professional standards outlined by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and state regulatory agencies.

Requirements

• CCC-SLP (Speech Language Pathology)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• Speech Therapy License

• Required Master's Speech Therapy

• 1 year Clinical Related is preferred
