This role can be based in Mountain View, CA or San Francisco, CA.

LinkedIn Marketing Solutions (LMS) is a leader in B2B digital advertising, helping companies deliver the right message, to the right audience, on a safe and trusted platform. Through our suite of innovative advertising solutions, we provide customers high reach and ROI. Lead generation is a central focus for any organization that's interested in driving consistent and reliable revenue. LinkedIn helps customers generate high quality leads by connecting with the right audience and seamlessly converting them with LinkedIn LeadGen Forms. We are looking to hire a Software Engineering Manager to lead our Lead Generation team. LeadGen Platform powers both paid and organic use cases across the LinkedIn ecosystem, integrating with partners like Marketo, Hubspot, and Zapier through automation. LeadGen Forms come pre-filled with accurate LinkedIn profile data and can be attached to Sponsored Content and Messaging ad campaigns to deliver quality leads at scale. Customers are able to access and manage their leads with ease through the LeadGen Admin Experience in our Campaign Manager tool. The Lead Generation team is a full stack team responsible for the LeadGen Platform, LeadGen Forms, LeadGen Admin Experience, and LeadGen API. The role requires customer empathy, thought leadership, technical vision, and the ability to inspire a team of engineers in solving challenging problems.
You will manage the performance and career development of a team of engineers, and own significant parts of LinkedIn products that require design, architecture, and coding.
You will participate with senior management in developing a long-term technology roadmap.
You will be a role model and professional coach for engineers with a strong bias for action and focus on craftsmanship.
You will guide your team through hands-on participation in key technical and design discussions with technical leads on the team.
You will drive the execution of product and technical workstreams by collaborating with engineering, product managers, designers, other software development teams, and business partners.
You will create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation, and learning - while holding a high bar for craftsmanship.
You will work with peers across teams to support and leverage a shared technical stack.
You will manage teams to scale distributed applications, make architectural trade-offs applying synchronous and asynchronous design patterns, review code, and deliver with speediness and quality.
You will develop multi-tier scalable, high-volume performing, and reliable user-centric applications that operate 24x7.
You will produce high-quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
1+ years of experience in software engineering/technical management and people management.
5+ years of industry experience in software design, development, and large-scale software engineering
Experience programming in object-oriented and/or functional programming languages(like Java/Python/C/C++/Scala/etc.)
MS or PhD in Computer Science or related technical discipline
3+ years of hands-on software engineering/technical management and people management experience
7+ years industry experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.
5+ years programming experience in languages such as Java, C/C++, C#, Python, Go, etc.
Experience with B2B advertising - especially lead generation.
Background working on revenue generating product engineering and an understanding of marketing customer lifecycle.
Experience in the design and development of performant, highly available, scalable web applications
Management experience across multiple skill sets (e.g. Application/Backend, UI/Frontend, iOS/Android/Mobile).
Understanding of common performance patterns and anti-patterns in distributed systems
Successful track record of managing small teams of engineers to deliver multiple projects on time and with quality
Active involvement in the creation and execution of technical strategies and roadmaps

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $144,000 - $235,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
