:** As a Core Services Developer, you'll play a pivotal role in our team responsible for the fundamental framework and essential services powering AXS. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies like Spring Boot and Java 17, you'll architect and develop microservices that expose critical functionalities through RESTful and message-based APIs. From enabling CRUD operations to seamless business logic processing, your contributions will shape the core infrastructure supporting our platform.

Skills and Requirements

Day to Day

• Collaborating closely with teammates to tackle challenges and deliver high-quality software.

• Designing and developing microservice and web-based software applications.

• Contributing to the cyber "hardening" of software to meet stringent cybersecurity standards.

• Assisting in testing and integrating applications and systems before deployment.

• Continuously challenging yourself to grow as a software developer.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining internal tooling crucial for various software product creations.

• Creating core infrastructure services and applications to empower other developers in building user-facing functionalities.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.

• Strong proficiency in Java programming language.

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining microservices using Spring Boot.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and message-based APIs.

• Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration.

• Develop software using the Spring Java Framework.

• Integrate applications with commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) messaging solutions like RabbitMQ.

• Familiarity with Atlassian products like Jira, Bitbucket/Stash, and Nexus.

• Work effectively within a software development team.

• Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

• Published software projects for external use or contributed significantly to open-source projects.

• Proficiency in Git (or Git-based implementations) in collaborative environments.

• Develop applications using REST or JAVA endpoints.

• Proficient in modern software build tools like Git, Jenkins, and Gradle.

• Comfortable working on Linux or Mac OS X platforms.
