  • Summary:

    Meta is seeking an experienced Data Center Site Logistics Manager in support of data center logistics operations at America's Data Center locations. This Manager will be responsible for working closely with the unique on-site program managers in their respective partner organization supporting logistics operations and will possess influence on IBOS systems strategy and IT inputs working closely with those IBOS teams. Must work closely with stakeholders across the entire DC ecosystem, internal and external. This role will take the lead in implementing consistent, repeatable, and scalable processes with associated analytics across the operation. Additionally, this individual will maintain consistency of inventories in the widely distributed network of data center locations supporting Facebook. This is a highly visible position which requires understanding of logistics processes and systems, financial cost analysis, and experience with data analysis and project management.

    We are looking for someone who understands data center operations at a tactical, operational and strategic level and the role that IBOS Field operations plays in supporting data centers. This candidate will partner and work closely with the other IBOS Site Leaders, Regional Managers, Global, and PI while working cross-functionally with internal customers/partners at their local DC site. Candidate will lead a team that needs to be comfortable operating in a high-growth environment.

    Required Skills:

    Site Logistics Manager Responsibilities:

    1. Facilitate an environment empowering logistics analysts and associates to conduct all day-to-day aspects of material movement including: shipping and receiving, inventory management, and cycle counting of all consigned and FB-owned inventory throughout the region

    2. Provide regional teams and other regional leads with observations and feedback regarding how logistics systems are landing in region and provide recommendations for improvement

    3. Partner with leadership developing site level initiatives that foster employee satisfaction and overall site performance

    4. Ensure production and monthly audits are in compliance with all SLA requirements, ensuring all inventory controls across the Region

    5. Monitor inventory reconciliation processes to identify risk, mange obsolescence, and reserve appropriately

    6. Proactively monitor system interfaces with external suppliers identifying and correcting any errors impacting product movements

    7. Leverage data and business principles to create and drive large scale Meta Data Center programs

    8. Generate cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners increasing efficiency in communication and improving standardization

    9. Work closely with all stakeholder teams across the site to understand business requirements, implement new processes, and contribute to ongoing process improvements

    10. Resolve site project issues and coordinate appropriate escalation

    11. Actively monitor operations dashboards and index reports to drive improvement

    12. Contribute to the development and implementation of IBOS from ground-break of new buildings through handoff to DC operations team

    13. Mentor site IBOS analyst such that they can run daily operations/site projects with minimal direction

    14. Implement creative ideas keeping IBOS operating costs to a minimum

    15. Partner with Environmental Health and Safety to guarantee compliance with all Federal, State, and Local safety requirements

    16. Partner with process team to monitor training of full time and contracted staff and maintain logistics best practices across all sites

    17. Utilize reporting and other forms of data to gauge performance of Facebook team

    18. Identify waste in order to streamline processes and reduce excess materials

    19. Strive to refine and develop all logistics processes aligning with best practices and other analytical positions

    20. Up to 10% Travel required

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, business or related field or equivalent experience

    2. 8+ years experience in operational logistics or similar environment

    3. 5+ years experience in business analysis/program management

    4. Experience in as-is/to-be business process mapping, gap analysis, requirements elicitation and data analysis

    5. Experienced in cross-functional collaboration across multiple teams

    6. Experience working independently and managing time

    7. Experience handling project management responsibilities (prioritization, planning, scheduling, status reporting)

    8. Experience with Oracle (or similar software), MS access, Excel, data loaders, SQL

    9. Communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal experience

    10. Experience in Supply Chain process from Procure-to-Pay

    11. Experienced in personnel management, staffing, and scheduling for 24/7 environment
