Job Position: Showroom Design Consultant - Contract to permanent Role

Location: Troy, MI

Pay Rate: Up to $21 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday between the hours of 8:45am-6:30pm, including rotating Saturday shifts (half day)

Robert Half is seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Showroom Design Consultant for a beautiful tile showroom in Troy, MI. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about interior design and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting homeowners and designers in tile material selection for residential or commercial projects.

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with clients to encourage repeat business.

• Keeping customers informed about our selection process and potential options.

• Staying up to date on latest product and design trends through continuous learning and training.

• Participating in showroom activities, events, and learning programs.

• Ensuring the showroom always looks its best by managing tile samples and product merchandising.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of design experience is required.

• Retail sales experience is helpful.

• Effective communication skills to relay design ideas

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, and Word

• Excellent time management skills It is important for candidates to work well in a team and have strong customer service skills.

• The ability to stand and walk around the showroom for 8-hour shifts, as well as climb ladders and lift/carry up to 25 lbs.

• An associate or bachelor's degree in design is preferred, but not required.
