  • Summary

    The Shift Supervisor supports the MDA Security and Emergency Management Directorate (DSS) in managing Security Operations Services at MDA facilities located throughout the United States.

    Responsibilities

    • Manages and supervises hourly staff to ensure access control, visitor support, and alarm response and dispatch operations are being executed in full compliance with contract requirements.

    • Works in collaboration with the Site Supervisor , and GSCC Supervisor to ensure all contract obligations are met.

    • Supervises EACS operations to include: Access Control/Response/Circulation Enforcement and Security Control Center Operations.

    • Monitors all actions of the GSCC operators during his/her assigned shift.

    • Ensure all security personnel are properly trained and capable of conducting primary duties at the EACS. Leads the execution of EACS responsibilities during MDA emergencies. The Shift Supervisor (SS) coordinates with the Operations Support Manager (OSM) to ensure all ACCs have current, accurate, and effective procedures and staff training in order to execute the EACS responsibilities in emergency situations under all conditions.

    • Ensures required security checks are conducted on all outgoing and incoming material and oversees site/facility security and patrol duties.

    • Executes incident procedures in accordance with SOPs, SSIs, and approved Emergency Checklists.

    • Maintains proficiency in the performance of CPR/AED and First Aid.

    • Maintains proficiency in the MDA E-Alert System and conduct weekly tests.

    • May be designated by the PM to function as the Chief Registrar and principal EACS representative at off-site conferences for which MDA has assigned operational responsibility, via task order.

    • Ensures that Government Furnished Equipment is issued, recovered and accounted for at the end of each shift in accordance with Annex Q of this SOP.

    • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, motivation, coaching and Safety of personnel.

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a BS/BA degree in security, law enforcement, or management-related fields. and/or equivalent training and experience; or an AS/AA degree and eight (8) years and/or equivalent training and experience.

    • Six (6) years of management experience preferably with a civilian police force, military police force, or civilian security guard organization.

    • Eight (8) years' experience in security or law enforcement administration and substantial operations experience in the armed forces, security, police, or civilian equivalent or related field, six (6) of which is at the supervisory level.

    • Six (6) years of progressively responsible general experience gained in analytical decision-making and administrative work and activities at the executive management level.

    • Six (6) years of specialized experience directly related to the work performed in physical security or law enforcement.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and Outlook
