  • Job Description

    As the User Experience lead of our ServiceNow competency team, you will be a core member of our interdisciplinary team focused on providing a consumer-grade experience on the ServiceNow Platform. You will have the opportunity to imagine, design, build and establish processes to ensure the end-to-end user experience is consistent and consumer-grade.


    • Work across the design process to imagine and bring future products, services, and experiences to life.

    • Conceive, prototype, and launch UI solutions to meet complex challenges

    • Build storyboards to conceptualize designs to improve on user's ease of use and satisfaction interfacing websites and products

    • Design the aesthetics to be implemented within a website, from the layout menus and drop-down options to that align to corporate branding

    • Develop across various web technologies

    • Provide domain expertise and technical assistance to internal support team when complex issues arise

    • Provide functional and technical documentation for enablement of new capabilities

    • Gather and evaluate user requirements

    • Develop low/high fidelity mockups and wireframes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like

    • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems

    • Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback

    • Integrate data from external sources into websites

    • Employing industry and design best practices through the website build process to include 508 compliance

    • Review documents for grammar, spelling, and style

    • Responsible for the final proofing of a variety of materials like forms, layouts, sites, and verbiage to ensure all presentation of information is consistent

    Skills and Experience

    • Expertise in ServiceNow human-centered design

    • Experience in ServiceNow Mobile Studio / Service Portal

    • Strong portfolio demonstrating command of composition, typography, and color

    • Experience in creating storyboards with various tools including Adobe suite , Powerpoint, Sketch, etc.

    • Front-end web application development experience (Angular, AngularJS, React, JQuery ( one of these is mandatory )

    • Strong design development experience with CSS3, SCSS, Bootstrap ( one of these is mandatory )

    • Back-end web application development experience (RESTful API, NodeJS ( one of these is mandatory )

    • Knowledge of the capabilities of, i.e., Firefox, Chrome, and Safari, including cross-browser compatibility and support

    • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues, browser degradation/progressive enhancement strategies, optimization and accessibility techniques.

    • Demonstrated ability to operate and deliver high-quality code deliverables independently and without significant oversight promptly

    • Knowledge of cross-browser compatibility issues, browser degradation/progressive enhancement strategies, optimization and accessibility techniques

    • Experience with the application development lifecycle process based on Scrum, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control, and deployment

    • Demonstrable ability to recommend and drive design with data-centric decisions
