    The ideal candidate has proven geotechnical and/or site civil expertise, is able to identify and manage projects from concept to delivery. This is primarily a "seller-doer" role within a dynamic multi-disciplinary team performing real estate development/redevelopment projects, civil infrastructure projects, landfill projects, construction services, litigation support services and more! Candidates must have a civil engineering background that includes local and state (New York Metro) permitting experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Research market trends, client programs, upcoming projects, and determine how to position the firm and local teams to capture more of the private and public real estate market in the New York City Metro area and beyond

    • Assist in the identification of new clients/project opportunities, and analyze the needs of current/repeat clients, and track and prioritize pursuit opportunities

    • Attend internal and external business development meetings

    • Lead efforts in pursuit of potential projects and the development of technical and price proposals

    • Communicate effectively across the organization as needed, maintaining and foster team engagement and satisfaction in completing project tasks and collaborating with subconsultants and other disciplines

    • Manage project development and execution, including scoping, cost estimating, project planning, engineering, and stakeholder engagement

    • Lead project teams to deliver financially and technically successful projects

    • Train and mentor project engineers and junior staff

    • Complete engineering in support of project execution

    • Identify, track, and minimize potential technical, financial, or contract risks as they arise and collaborate on resolution strategies as needed

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

    • PE in NY, CT, ME, NH, MA, RI or the ability to obtain reciprocal licenses within one year

    • 7-12 years of increasing engineering or planning and leadership experience with 5+ years of increasing technical and leadership experience relative to public infrastructure project experience developing a fully integrated design package

    • 5 years of experience as a project manager

    • Strong communication skills, an acute understanding of project finances, and scheduling,

    • Client management skills

    • Ability to communicate successfully with state regulatory agencies

    • Proficient with MS Office suite of products, Deltek, and other management tools preferred

    • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training a plus

    • AutoCAD, Civil3D experience

    • Must have a valid driver's license
