    The Patriot Radar Software Requirements Systems Cross Functional Lead is responsible for all systems engineering processes and technical sell-off evaluations related to the Patriot Radar Software Requirements to ensure that the System Capabilities and Requirements are appropriately supported. Responsibilities would include: review and approval of all Patriot Radar Software Requirements Changes and other functional changes that leverage Patriot Radar Software Capabilities, review and approval of the verification test plans and execution, prioritization of testing on Pelham Test Assets. This includes but is not limited to: support of concept development, testing, integration and verification activities, and coordination between software and systems requirements teams.

    Responsibilities to Anticipate

    • Engage the USG customer & Patriot users on radar capabilities driven by algorithm development

    • Provide technical oversight for the execution of Patriot Radar Software Requirement and Algorithm Development

    • Collaborate with the Radar IPT Systems Engineering Lead to ensure that the Hardware, Software, and System Requirements are all being met in a consistent manner

    • Support Independent Research and Development and other sources of internal funding for future Radar capability upgrades and innovations

    • Support internal and external Program Reviews including Software and Systems Engineering In-Process Reviews (IPRs), Support Patriot Global Marketing, and new business pursuits in the area of Radar Capabilities.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in radar systems engineering development

    • Experience with military radar systems, tactical air defense systems, product line development processes, international programs, and software development

    • Experience interfacing with external customers

    • Experience across the product development life cycle

    • Excellent communications skills, verbal and written, with technical, customer and senior leadership audiences

    • Self-motivated, passionate leader

    • Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance

    Preferred Qualification

    • Existing DoD Secret Clearance

    • Patriot Radar Knowledge

    • Experience with IFMC or SHIELD customer base

    • Experience making challenging technical decisions and setting priorities

    • Experience designing, implementing and testing radar waveforms and signal processing algorithms

    • Familiarity with Raytheon Integrated Product Development System (IPDS) and gating processes

    • Familiarity with program startup processes

    • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

    Clearance Information: This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Defense Industrial Security Clearance Office (DISCO), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.

    The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
