Summary
The Performance Improvement Team is actively recruiting for a Cooking/Breading/Batter/Formulation Specialist. The Performance Improvement Team Member will travel to identified sites and work within a cross functional, problem-solving team to proactively implement performance improvements within the prepared foods operations environment. This position interacts with facility management to identify areas of opportunity to improve operational efficiency standards in a safe manner while maintaining positive working relationships with the production team. This Performance Improvement Team Member focuses on the optimization and standardization of equipment set-up, operator training, and process checks on the front end of the prepared foods plants.
This position is remote but travel to other facilities is required.
Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinate with M&R, operations, and OEM to ensure proper equipment set-up and maintenance to include critical asset care and preventative maintenance.
Determine key performance indicators and monitoring frequency and coordinate with MOS team leader to integrate into MOS implementation plan.
Collaborate with the operations, OEM, and M&R teams to develop, implement, and execute standardized operational training and develop OPLs where appropriate across all Prepared locations.
Develop, implement, and execute equipment optimization audit on all critical equipment at pre-determined frequency. This PIT member should follow up with the site leadership team to ensure gap closure to get equipment back to desired state.
Partner with operations, R&D, QA to ensure that equipment delivers product that's center lined within specification limits.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Agriculture or related discipline, plus 7-10 years of related work experience.
At least 5-7 years of experience working or leading a Cooking, Breading, Batter and/or Formulation department.
Be able to travel to other facilities and plants 50% of their time.
Have a proven track record demonstrating ability to get results.
Ability to organize multiple protocols/projects and complete on schedule. Able to develop protocols and processes and deploy.
Strong analysis and problem solving skills at both a strategic and functional level.
Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization with excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
