    We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist with at least seven years of experience implementing machine-learning models and conducting advanced data analysis for production-level systems. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in logistics, particularly in supply chain optimization or logistics network optimization. This position will support America's geography under the IS organization and is part of a department that aims to enhance the operations of over 70 offices across multiple countries. This role is crucial and requires working within a highly collaborative and agile team that solves business challenges using data, technology, and good old-fashioned ingenuity and works exclusively on projects with the highest potential to impact the bottom line of the Americas.

    Successful candidates must be able to

    • Break down complex problems, identify relevant data and methodologies, and develop innovative solutions.

    • Convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

    • Stay updated with the latest advancements in data science through self-study, workshops, and online communities.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and deploy advanced machine learning models to optimize logistics processes and improve supply chain efficiency.

    • Conduct thorough analysis of large-scale datasets to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and business development, to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights.

    • Lead initiatives to design and implement algorithms for route optimization, consolidation optimization, and demand forecasting.

    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in logistics and supply chain management and apply them to enhance our operations.

    • Ensure proper architecture, engineering, and cybersecurity with all solutions.

    • Develop within company standards and SDLC.

    • Document all learnings and solutions.

    • Collaborates and promotes best practices within the team and department.

    • Support agile work processes and keep work management systems current (e.g., Azure DevOps)

    • Master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred

    • Minimum of seven years of experience in a data science role, with a focus on implementing machine learning models in production

    • Experience with querying languages (e.g., SQL)

    • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Java

    • Experience with analytics/ML libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, matplotlib)

    • Proficient in machine learning algorithms (regression techniques, tree-based, deep learning, unsupervised learning)

    • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI

    • Proficient in statistical analysis and hypothesis testing

    • Experience in monitoring deployed machine learning pipelines

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to non-technical stakeholders

    • Experience in logistics and supply chain optimization is highly desirable

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

    Position is full time (40 hours per week) Monday through Friday. We are a business professional attire company.

    Expected base salary: $125,000 - $160,000 based on location and experience
