    Job Description:

    The Senior Channel Sales Analytics Manager (B2C) will be responsible for developing a strategy for and leading a team (Analyst and Senior Analyst) that tracks, analyzes and forecasts Nespresso USA's machine sales performance, as well as the conversion of those sales into new customers. The Senior Manager must have excellent cross-organizational ownership of creating a deeper understanding of machine and new customer performance by channel, product line and range, reporting on the relevant KPIs, and offering data-driven recommendations for continuous performance improvements. This role will serve as a co-pilot to the Commercial Acquisition Analytics Director, as well as being responsible for leading the Sales forecasting & analytics relationship with Nespresso USA's Machine Partners, to ensure that production plans align with Nespresso USA's market expectations. This is a hybrid-based opportunity that will work 1-2 days/week at Nespresso USA's office in New York City (Manhattan) and is a People Leader role.

    Responsibilities:

    Machine & New Customer Forecast Management

    • Leads the Acquisition Forecast, working with key point of sale leaders to understand issues and activities that could impact results, risks and opportunities to agree on machine sales, as well as new customer forecasts.

    • Owns communication of forecast to wider organization and cross-functional teams (Machine Business Partner process and equivalent meetings) including forecast deviation analysis.

    • Monitors forecast performance monthly and applies error analysis techniques to develop strategies for approval; owns communication of risk or variance in models to cross-functional teams.

    • Collaborates with the Market Insights & Sales team to identify key insights to drive acquisition efforts.

    Machine Channel Performance Analysis

    • Leads monthly performance review meetings with key stakeholders related to Category and Channel dynamics, sales results, and the impact of any related activities (new machine launches, distribution changes, campaign performance, etc.).

    • Serves as the primary contact to the e-retail & trade teams on understanding retailer level performance.

    • Oversees ad hoc analyses to better understand drivers of performance.

    • Serves as the primary contact to the Direct Channel teams on understanding DTC Channel performance.

    • Works with Marketplace Insights to better understand impact of competitive forces on direct / indirect businesses.

    • Works with channels to set relevant goals aligned to business needs (including recommendations for SSIP Program).

    Machine Partner Analytics

    • Leads Machine Partner analytics alignment (sell out & sell in guidance) with the Machine Partner Commercial team.

    • Responsible for subsidies investment forecast including risks and opportunities related to production changes aligned with Machine Partners.

    • Responsible for Marketing Contribution investment forecast and settlement process with Machine Partners.

    • Prepares and attends top-to-top performance reviews twice a year.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Stay abreast of external practices & capabilities for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting a multi-channel (direct + indirect) business model.

    • Collaborates with the Data Capabilities team to automate reporting wherever possible.

    • Leads process improvement for machines sales and acquisition analysis, reporting and target setting.

    People Leadership & Team Development

    • Works with team members to drive consistency and excellence in delivery of key elements.

    • Develops team skill sets and manage their workload effectively.

    • Assigns additional duties or special projects to team to complete based on the needs of the business.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree is required; Master's degree preferred.

    • 7+ years of professional work experience working in an Analytics role, with at least 4-5+ years of People Leadership experience managing direct reports required.

    • 5+ years of experience in performance forecasting required, preferably in a direct Sales environment (B2C).

    • 5+ years of experience working within a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) or within a CPH business model required.

    • 3+ years of experience working on durable or CPG product analytics required.

    • Demonstrated fluency in MS Office (Word/Excel/Outlook/PowerPoint) required.

    • Experience working with statistical approaches to forecasting (time-series, econometric, associative) required.

    • Willing and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.

    • Must have excellent communication (oral and written), organizational, presentation and stakeholder management skills (with the ability to develop and maintain strong, cross-functional stakeholder relationships).

    • Proven ability to communicate complex concepts, ideas and/or recommendations to Senior and Executive Leadership.

    • Must be team-oriented and have excellent delegation skills.

    • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems with creative solutions.

    • Knowledge of coding languages including SQL, Python or R is highly desired.

    • Willing and able to travel up to 10% based on the needs of the team and the business.

    The approximate pay range for this position is $170,000 to $185,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as geographic location.
