    The Vitamin Shoppe is seeking a S enior Brand Manager (SBM), Private Brands , who will play an important role in our company's mission to support our customers on their personal journey to lifelong wellness. Your love and passion for the Nutraceutical industry will drive new, exciting, and disruptive innovation for our Private Brands which you will nurture from concept to launch and champion across multiple critical departments company wide.

    The SBM is responsible for conceiving and commercializing branded solutions that cater to our customer needs, meet our brand guardrails, and grow our brands to plan. The SBM will manage a portfolio of brands across multiple categories and will be measured on both strategic and economic goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive the front-end of innovation from whitespace opportunity to a financially and technically feasible commercial end product.

    • Lead the brand-building processes and ensure the Private Brand Team's efforts are aligned with our portfolio strategy.

    • Create and champion brand-strategy and brand building efforts for assigned brands.

    • Maintain a strong understanding of category market trends and meet consumer expectations and ever evolving needs.

    • Perform category reviews to analyzesales, penetration, profitability, margin as well asidentify new product opportunitiesand implement any appropriate action plans to meet corporate objectives.

    • Support the following department teams to ensure the success of Private Brands: innovation, product development, merchandising, manufacturing, purchasing, marketing, education, regulatory, commercialization, customer service, and field team.

    • Meet & converse with contract manufacturers and raw material suppliers to identify new ingredients, technology, and delivery format opportunities.

    • Help create and implement sku positioning strategy, label copy and design.

    • Work with agency partners, or in-house team to ensure marketing strategy, communication strategy and execution are aligned with brand strategy.

    • Develop and present brand or product strategy cross functionally to create marketing campaigns or brand designs.

    • Develop brand equity and ensure that products meet brand guardrails and strategy.

    • Deliver against sales plan and budget.

    • Provide regular updates on project status to cross functional teams in a concise format to include status, challenges, and issue resolution throughout the lifecycle of the project.

    • Ability to critically read technical documents/formulations, identify and trouble-shoot challenges, and analyze next steps and timing.

    Other Functions:

    • Limited out of town travel required for trade shows and corporate conferences.

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing, merchandising or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job requirements.

    • 3+ years of experience designing nutritional supplements.

    • 5+ years of experience in product innovation, brand management, commercialization, and merchandising

    • Nutraceutical industry knowledge including high performing brands and ingredients.

    • Proficient knowledge inDietary Supplements in the U.S. (DSHEA) and FDA regulations

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

    • Positive attitude, self-motivatedwith critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

    • Demonstrates an understanding ofhow customers relate to brands, understands brand guardrails and how products play into the strategy of a brand.

    • Ability to influence, develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as internal and external clients.

    • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills (analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)

    • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.

    • Proficient in MS office software
