School Psychologist

A School Psychologist is needed for a school position inTavares, Florida. This role isfull-time, 7.5-hour work day, covering the 2023-24 school year. This position entails evaluations for multiple grade levels. Travel between schools will be expected. Mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate. Ideal candidate will have either the DOE certification in School Psychology or an active license with the DOH.Recent school-based evaluation experience is required. Work/life balance comes easy with a M-F working schedule!

• Conduct psychoeducational assessments to evaluate students' cognitive abilities, academic achievement, and social-emotional functioning

• Interpret assessment results to inform educational planning and interventions

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create tailored plans that address students' unique strengths and challenges

• Conduct functional behavioral assessments to understand the factors influencing students' behavior

• Develop and implement behavior intervention plans to address challenging behaviors and promote positive alternatives

• Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or critical incidents affecting students, staff, or the school community

• Consult with teachers, parents, and other school staff to address academic and behavioral concerns

• Communicate with parents to provide information on assessments, interventions, and available resources

JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THEPSYCHOLOGIST

• 1+ yearsof recent experience

• School Psychologist certification from an accredited program

• Successful completion of Certification Examination

• Expected to have a thorough knowledge of Federal and State Psychologist regulations

• Must be eligible to work in the United States

• Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Doctoral degree in Psychology
