    JOB SUMMARY

    Works closely with the Business Unit Manager to establish and maintain customer and sales channel relationships. Generates and promotes sales for the Fixed Gas Detection and Micro Air Pump product lines. Provides customer product application support and proposals, to include formal project submittals. Proactively pursues existing and potential customers and/or accounts to increase sales. Works closely with Sales & Marketing Staff, customers, sales representatives, and distributors on product inquiries including technical details, pricing, quotations, follow-up, and order tracking. Monitors Fixed Gas Detection and Micro Air Pump business activity and projects for resource coordination, support, and follow-up. Actively participates in Marketing campaigns to include proposal generation, tracking of incremental sales, and sales channel implementation support. Generates required weekly and monthly reports and additional reports as directed in a timely, thorough, consistent, and accurate manner.

    GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    1. Works proactively to generate commercially complete quotations with part numbers, pricing and lead times to support recommended solutions, in a highly accurate and professional manner with a high sense of urgency, through close interactions with regional sales managers, directly with sales channel partners, existing customers and marketing leads. Tracks and follows-up to close orders in a timely and professional manner.

    2. Develops and maintains expert knowledge on industrial gas detection applications.

    3. Regularly updates the CRM system with the current opportunity status and other relevant customer contact information in accordance with Company guidelines.

    4. Develops formal FGD and H&S project submittals, to include product technical details, proposed layout, P&ID, riser, elevation, network loop, and schematic proposals as required, and in accordance with customer project technical and commercial requirements.

    5. Generates and actively mines Business Activity reports, past sales data, and other relevant sources to proactively uncover sales opportunities for prompt follow-up.

    6. Works with marketing, sales, product management and product development teams to implement business development initiatives.

    7. Assists Customer Support with orders that have special requirements to resolve issues or questions with a high sense of urgency.

    8. Provides training to customers and employees on FGD product features and capabilities.

    9. Actively works with Customer Support and Service personnel to assess needs and recommend product and service solutions, which are consistent with industry practices and the Company's products.

    4. Maintains a high level of technical expertise and understanding of the operation and application of the Company's products and services.

    5. Assists in the resolution of customer complaints to ensure follow up and implementation of required preventative and corrective actions in a timely manner.

    6. Performs all other duties as assigned or directed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Articulate and fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

    • Technical expertise in industrial Instrumentation

    • Effective organizational skills with sound problem-solving ability

    • Relentless attention to detail and accuracy

    • Clear and articulate communications skills - listening, verbal and written

    • strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with an emphasis on PowerPoint and Excel functions and formulas

    • Ability to handle multiple tasks with a high sense of urgency and produce high quality and accurate work with limited supervision

    PREFERRED SKILLS

    • Articulate and fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in Spanish.

    • In-depth knowledge of gas detection methods and systems and / or bulk and specialty gas delivery systems

    • AutoCAD Design or similar design software

    • Familiarity with Commercial Terms and Conditions

    EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (BSEE, BSME, or BSCHeE), preferred

    from an accredited College or University, equivalent technical college, or military training.

    • Proposals of detailed industrial instrumentation project submittals, formal quotation generation, and commercial negotiation.

    • At least 3 years of experience in technical sales and product applications support, with a preference in industrial instrumentation, utilizing multiple methods to make customer contact including phone, email, internet, and electronic lead follow-up.

    • Usage of business operating systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred.

    • Use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms or similar management systems.

    • Utilizing raw business and/or CRM data to generate useful sales and marketing data, or similar types of reports.
