    A global manufacturing company is seeking a strong Data Engineer to join their team to supporting their ongoing digital transformation initiatives. These individuals will partner closely with a team of Data Scientists who are responsible for creating data-driven solutions within this space. The ideal candidates will have a proven background in Data Engineering within enterprise environments working with large data sets and will have a strong technical background in Python programming, SQL programming, experience with Gitlab and experience with CI/CD pipelining. They will assist the data science team with cleansing and pipelining data as well as assisting with deployments, code reviews and overall deployment of the solutions. These roles are fully remote within the US (will work EST hours) and are 6 month contract positions with the possibility of extension and conversion.

    Skills and Requirements

    • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering

    • Strong Python and SQL programming skills

    • Experience working with data from varying databases (SAP)

    • Experience with data cleansing, pipelining, modeling and dashboard creation

    • Experience with Gitlab and CI/CD

    • Strong communication and collaboration skills - Experience working within a virtualization environment

    • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes containerization tools

    • Knowledge of/ exposure to/ interest in Devops methodologies null
