Rehab Tech

Overview

This is a prn/casual position with schedule flexibility.

Hours of operation are 7a-5p, 7 days a week. Ideal candidate is able to commit to at least 1 shift per week but negotiable. Shifts can be 4-8 hours.

As a Rehab Tech at CHI Health CUMC-Bergan Mercy, you'll work under the supervision of a therapist to provide therapeutic assistance to patients. This may include transferring and transporting, assisting in activities of daily living, and providing recreational activities to patients. You may prepare, clean and maintain treatment areas and equipment while performing housekeeping duties within the department and be responsible for light clerical duties as deemed necessary. Services are delivered within the framework of an interdisciplinary team approach, including the patient and significant others.

Responsibilities

Patient Assistance: Assist the therapists in the treatment of patients; transfer, transport and assist patients to therapies according to patient schedules; implement the plan of care in a thorough and complete manner under the direction of the therapists including patient preparation, gait training, functional training, exercise therapy, and ADL functions.

Cleaning: Keep all treatment areas and equipment clean and orderly; perform routine housekeeping as required; maintain all cleaning and temperature logs.

Clerical: Record clearly and completely all therapy treatments and time with patients on the appropriate forms; manage transmission and receipt of pertinent medical records; perform light clerical duties as required.

Communication: Encourage, educate and assist patients to reach their maximum functional level; ensure confidentiality of all patient information; communicate in a respectful and courteous manner.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED

Required Licensure and Certifications: BLS/CPR Certification

Pay Range

$15.00 - $20.33 /hour
