Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) to work per-diem in our Eye Institute, Ocular Oncology Clinic. WORK SCHEDULE: * Part-time * Shift hours: Day shift, Monday or Friday 9 hour shift (8:30a - 6:00p) * Occasional days or weeks to cover PTO.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION: Harborview's Eye Institute is a fast paced worksite seeing close to 200 patients a day. The staff nurse at the Harborview/UW Medicine Eye Institute will provide dedicated nursing support to the oncology ocular service.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Organize weekly medications with the pharmacy teams. * Discuss medical issues with patients who have a new diagnosis of eye cancer and provide patient education. * Provide support across the UW Medicine Eye Institute to include telephone triage, lab draws, IV placement for clinic tests and clinic workflow.

REQUIREMENTS: * Active, valid Washington State RN license required by start date. * Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. * At least two years of RN nursing experience. * Must be self-directed, motivated, organized and be able to interpret information related to polices, procedure and programs.
