A Quality Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Medley, FL area. This role involves serving as the primary liaison between the company and customers focusing on enhancing quality performance, investigating root causes of non-conformances, leading teams, and ensuring operational goals are met in aviation product manufacturing and inspection.

responsibilities

• Lead teams to investigate root causes of customer escapes and non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions.

• Assess and disposition customer non-conformances.

• Review and approve First Article inspections and perform audits on products, processes, and work instructions.

• Interface with Engineering groups and Customer Support to resolve technical/quality issues.

• Assist with Escape investigations within Business Units and participate on plant-wide teams.

Desired Skills

• Demonstrated root cause determination skills (8D, Fault Tree, etc.).

• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze quality data.

• Excellent computer skills.

• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years' experience or

• Associate's degree with 4+ years' experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management, quality, or related industrial environment.

• Alternatively, 4+ years' experience in the aforementioned areas without a degree.
