Public Relations Manager

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a talented Public Relations Manager to join our team based in New Jersey. The primary function of this role is to drive our brand's presence and recognition in the digital media landscape, particularly within the health/wellness and fashion industries. You will be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on media opportunities to maximize exposure and clicks, with a focus on unpaid and organic press or affiliate press.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential media connections and outlets for company exposure, including but not limited to blogs, social media, broadcast channels, and print media.

• Develop a strategic approach to maximize clicks and conversions through digital media campaigns and planning.

• Create and manage content for social media channels such as Instagram and LinkedIn to enhance brand awareness.

• Maintain an understanding of key demographics and tailor PR strategies to engage our primary audience of 50+ age group.

• Draft and distribute compelling press releases to media contacts for increased media coverage.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets for potential media appearances and events.

• Stay abreast of media trends to ensure our PR strategies are current and effective.

• Monitor and manage the company's media outreach and make adjustments as necessary.

• Develop media pitches to secure media opportunities and enhance the company's media exposure.

• Collaborate with internal teams to align PR activities with the overall company strategy.

Requirements - Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Public Relations role or similar

• Proficient in using Instagram and LinkedIn for business purposes

• Demonstrated experience in creating and executing successful brand awareness strategies

• Familiarity with the magazine industry and its demographics

• Proven ability to draft and distribute effective press releases

• Strong understanding of organic search and its role in digital media

• Experience in planning and executing digital media campaigns

• Knowledge of display media and its uses in public relations

• Previous experience working with a media agency is a plus

• Comfortable making media appearances and cultivating media contacts/relations

• Demonstrated success in securing positive media coverage

• Experience in planning and executing media events

• Ability to identify and leverage media opportunities

• Familiarity with various media outlets and their specific audiences

• Proven track record in media outreach and securing media placements

• Excellent media relations skills

• Comfortable drafting and distributing media releases

• Must be media savvy and stay up-to-date with media trends

• Understanding of news media and how to effectively use it for public relations

• Familiarity with offline and online media strategies

• Experience with print media and its role in public relations

• Must be proficient in using social media for business purposes

• Experience in creating engaging social media content
