Project Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Project Engineer in the Pontiac, Michigan area. The Project Engineer is going to be responsible for the release of technical/deliverables such as layouts, sequence sheets, cylinder/switch layouts, etc. They will be working with project team members in exchange of information, discussing work orders in terms of scope, price, and delivery time. The Project Engineer will also be studying and analyzing the orders and consulting with the client, project manager, internal departments, and suppliers while resolving any issues that may arise. Other responsibilities include:

* Approval, Rejection, and release of designs and purchase elements including technical release of order forms after assessment of all technical specifications.

* Providing technical advice to the project team.

* Taking measures to prevent any overrun of the schedule.

* Evaluation of delivered tooling and purchase elements to determine adherence to specification

Percentage Breakdown (Can vary depending on the phase of each project):

- 25% Week at plant and taking measurements and doing validation of way equipment is operating

- 25% Making sure that the purchased items are getting to right spot on shop floor

- 25% Customer deliverables

- 25% Miscellaneous

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in operational experience in design, manufacturing, build, and install

- Experience in automation and robotics in welding

- CAD, autoCAD, solidworks, catia, nx

- Microsoft Excel null
