  • If you are a meticulous Production Planning professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting HYBRID role for you based in our Chanhassen, MN location. This position will support and lead in the development of a daily production build schedule that meets the company's safety, quality, delivery, and inventory objectives. The Production Planner plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between customer demand and production capabilities.

    In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

    • Using discretion to respond to safety situations within the office and production floor environment.

    • Supporting company quality policy to achieve company objectives:

    • Responding timely, Understanding the impact, and working to minimize the negative impact of quality redlights, production, and shipping holds

    • Beginning to lead production line recovery teams by handling material streams for raw components, subassemblies, and finished goods

    • Using independent judgment commensurate with experience to support assigned production line:

    • Reviewing and ensuring accuracy of the daily production signal to the manufacturing floor in order to meet the company's service level objectives:

    • Resolving production issues in a timely fashion

    • Monitoring material availability and communicating as appropriate to procurement and production

    • Analyzing delays and interruptions, and recommending adjustments to the production schedule to meet deadlines

    • Communicating production delays with internal customer (Master Scheduling)

    • May coordinate daily meetings for product group/production line

    • Participating in global calls as needed

    • Analyzing and responding to service level & inventory metrics and providing recommendations for continuous improvements

    • Beginning to lead New Product Development (NPD), Discontinuance and Rosemount Transfer Process (RTP) Programs for P&IC checklist responsibilities

    • Reviewing and approving Engineering Change Orders (ECO). Ensure bill of material (BOM) and assembly part numbers are set up or obsoleted accurately in the business system.

    • Supporting business system upgrades, patches, and site migrations using global standards. May be responsible for manufacturing test requirements.

    • Beginning to participate in cross-functional project improvements. May participate in Kaizen events and lean process improvements.

    For This Role, You Will Need:

    • Bachelor's degree

    • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience

    • Legal authorization to work in the United States

    Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

    • Bachelor's degree in business or related field

    • Experience with Oracle

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment

    • ASCM/APICS certified
