    Type: Contract to Hire

    Pay: $ 20.00/hrs

    Shift/Hours: First Shift

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Product Support

    • Provide support in the resolution of customer product complaints.

    • Evaluate and, if necessary, perform repair service on returned products

    • Perform outgoing quality control inspection tests for products being returned to customers.

    • Maintain a service and inventory log.

    • Document all work on each returned product on the forms established under the quality system.

    • Correspond with quality, operations, accounting & customer service regarding test results and any applicable next steps.

    • Perform incoming & outgoing quality control inspection tests for products & components to determine conformance with specifications.

    • Utilize standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs

    • Support calibration of instruments / equipment and maintain supporting documentation.

    • Works under direct supervision and in accordance with company's quality management system and procedures.

    • Other duties as assigned by VP Operations.

    Logistics Support

    • Support all efforts related to warehouse control, inventory, and shipping.

    • Assist with preparation of finished goods: duffel bag preparation and inserting product literature.

    • Prepare shipping material, including box assembly.

    • Ship finished goods.

    • Warehouse maintenance: breaking down boxes, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, discarding trash, and pallet disposal, among others

    General

    · Adapt to the evolving needs of the business.

    • Prioritize daily activities to meet customer needs for finished goods.

    • Communicate with Operations Manager, Purchasing Manager, Customer Service, Warehouse Manager & Warehouse Associate to meet customer needs for finished goods.

    • Suggest continuous improvement changes for procedures related to daily activities.

    SKILLS NECESSARY:

    · Reliable and trustworthy

    • Positive Attitude

    • Team player

    • Basic understanding of electrical circuit theory and mechanical principles.

    • Capable of following company standard operating procedures and following instruction

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Working knowledge of specified computer-based applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and data bases (Microsoft Word & Excel)

    • Organizational skills, and problem solving/analytical skills.

    EXPERIENCE LEVEL:

    • Some experience with handling and repair of medical devices a plus

    • 1-2 year of college or technical school with some experience in engineering, preferred. - Experience with test instruments, calibration, and documentation of test results.

    • A work style of hands-on involvement with all phases of projects.

    • Warehousing experience preferred, a plus with Medical device company.
