    Required Skills:

    Privacy Engineer, Technical Audit Responsibilities:

    1. Play a key role in driving code and architecture reviews as well as large cross-company privacy reviews of products and features.

    2. Conduct technical reviews for new features and identify privacy concerns.

    3. Work closely with technical and non-technical teams, including Engineering, Product and Legal.

    4. Provide product teams with the guidance and best practices to help protect user's privacy and mitigate any risk.

    5. Work closely with Security and Privacy leaders to help define goals that are properly aligned to company-wide goals.

    6. Define and articulate a clear vision for privacy, and influence leaders across all of Facebook to adopt a balanced view of product and privacy goals in overall decision-making.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Minimum Qualifications

    1. Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field and three years of work experience in the job offered or in a computer related occupation. Requires three years of experience in the following:

      1. Coding in Python, PHP, Java, or C/C++ including code maintenance and review
      1. Building software applications with secure features
      1. Communicating technical issues and their implications to other areas of the business
      1. Ability to analyze and implement complex systems
      1. Experience applying security/privacy preserving technologies, including but not limited to anonymization, encryption, and access management
      1. Has an understanding of software engineering best practices such as security/privacy by design as applicable to their role
      1. Knowledge of data protection principles and best practices
      1. Ability to conduct impact assessments and identify security/privacy risks
      1. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
      1. Strong written and verbal communication skills
      1. Experience in working with cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders.

    Public Compensation:

    $215,658/year to $240,240/year + bonus + equity + benefits
