    Position Title:

    Planner / Scheduler

    Pay Rate : $68,300 to $80,300

    Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range. Variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP's annual incentive plan.

    The Job You Will Perform:

    • Responsible for scheduling machine operations and coordinating all production activity with customer service and shipping to ensure all orders are delivered on time.

    • Utilizing the KIWI system the scheduler will plan schedules for both the corrugator and converting departments. Orders shall be scheduled according to customer priorities, paper size, and related specifications. Working closely with Customer Service the successful candidate will lead the daily production meetings communicating production status, special resources needed, and delivery dates. The scheduler will also help manage overruns, shortages, trials, and on-time delivery.

    • Reschedule workflow when there are machine breakdowns, productivity slowdowns, changes in customer orders and/or material shortages.

    • Support manufacturing safety, quality, throughput, and waste initiatives and associated objectives

    • Maximize plant throughput while balancing customer requirements and manufacturing capability.

    • Responsible for managing the roll stock forecasts and interfacing closely with Sales, Customer Service, Containerboard and logistics on the purchasing of roll stock in alignment with sales forecasts.

    • Manage inbound shipments of roll stock with railroad and trucking vendors.

    • Inventory management and purchasing of raw materials.

    • Responsible for managing lawn care, snow removal, vending, and janitorial services.
