    Job Summary

    CORE, Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (formerly ACE), is the RTX operating system. It focuses on the drivers of competitive excellence - our people and our work processes. Our leadership and empowered employees work together to implement CORE practices in all of our activities across every RTX business to benefit our customers and share owners. As a member of the team, you will be a key member of a dynamic team responsible for assembling & testing engines and APU's that will deliver to our military and commercial customers around the globe.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as focal for Continuous Improvement Initiatives across the Middletown Engine Center

    • Evolve the Standard Production System framework within the Middletown Engine Center product lines.

    • Work closely with individuals and teams throughout the Product Delivery Center to lead problem solving and continuous improvement projects.

    • Oversee competency development (including CORE proficiency advancement), serve as Implementation Lead for OpX initiatives, and support the Product Center in driving continuous improvement projects aligned with enterprise priorities developed through the OpX and Operations Leadership teams.

    • Experience will also help grow your own continuous improvement proficiency and focus on enhancing your ability to lead business improvement initiatives.

    • Manage/execute on occasional Green Belt or Black Belt projects

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Statistics, Operations, Supply Chain or similar field and minimum 10+ years' prior relevant experience or 7+ years' prior relevant experience with an Advanced Degree.

    • Minimal, infrequent travel may be required as needed.

    • CORE Apprentice Certification or 3 or more years of working experience in lean, continuous improvement, or operations.

    • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • CORE Professional Certification or similar

    • Proven ability to work with, coach, motivate, and influence others.

    • Experience using project management and statistical analysis tools.

    • 5+ years of experience leading large scale continuous improvement initiatives across functions.

    • Proven project management experience or certification.

    • Proficiency in use of project management and statistical analysis tools.

    • Green Belt or Black Belt Certification

    What is my role type?

    Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

    The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

    Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
