Order Selector

Hiring for order selectors in Landover, MD!

Description:

Candidates will either be operating stand up forklifts or Electric pallet jacks depending on the role. for the main order selecting openings, standup forklift is required.

Forklift operators will unload trucks, replenish stock on shelving units, and take product to the production floor for packing

Order Selectors will operate Electric pallet jacks and stand up forklifts to pull items for final shipment and they will be off and on the equipment pulling individual items from boxes; not whole pallets of material; therefore they must have that type of experience i.e. Food Lion distribution.

Ideal candidates for order selectors have vocallect (bluetooth) Headset experience but he will settle for RF Scanner but must have at least one. Candidates must have previous experience in a cold storage environment .

Shift: Mon - Fri 4pm - 12am

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Reading customer orders accurately.

Locating and selecting the specific warehouse items to fulfill the customer's order.

Operating Electric Riding Jack and other warehouse machinery to stack items and prepare orders for shipping.

Placing the prepared orders in the correct dock slips for loading onto shipping trucks.

Performing visual inspections of orders to ensure they are correct and ready for shipment.

Labeling order shipments correctly for easy identification.

Applying shrink wrap to the prepared order before shipping.

Following warehouse safety procedures for the operation of equipment, such as wearing proper clothing, safe food handling, and maintaining awareness of your surroundings and the other workers when transporting items.

Keeping the warehouse clean and organized at all times.
