  • The Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Virginia seeks candidates for an Open Rank (Assistant, Associate, Professor) faculty member to join a team of experienced Gastroenterology physicians at the University Medical Center. Rank and tenure status are dependent upon qualifications. The incumbent will have a commitment to clinical care and scholarly activity. The incumbent will be expected to manage patients in clinic, perform routine endoscopic procedures, attend on the inpatient GI consult service, participate in ongoing clinical research, and assist with teaching of fellows and residents. This position may be eligible to convert to tenure-track at an appropriate time in the future, consistent with UVA Provost's policies, School of Medicine (SOM) Promotion and Tenure guidelines and candidate qualifications.

    Candidates must have an MD or equivalent degree and must be board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology by the appointment start date.
