Our Labor and Delivery unit delivers 500 babies annually and has seven rooms, a three-bed triage, and an OR for C-sections. Two of our labor rooms have been turned into natural birthing suites. These rooms have equipment to assist Mothers that would like to deliver their infant without an epidural. After Delivery Mother and Baby are be transferred to our Postpartum/Well baby department. Our hospital encourages couplet care which allows for mothers and infants to stay in the same room. For infants that need a little more help we have a nine-bed level II NICU. A level II NICU allows us to care for infants thirty-five weeks gestation and above. Our NICU has neonatologist that rounds on infants every day during admission.
