Middleware Administrator

Seeking an experienced Middleware Administrator in support of a managed services engagement for a major Public Sector account. The selected candidate will be a technical resource for Middleware Administration. Performs day-to-day operational maintenance, administration, support, patching and upgrades for middleware systems.

Main Responsibilities

• Day to day Middleware administration, including on-call activities

• Installation and configuration of on-premises and cloud-based middleware technologies

• Continuous improvement of the middleware operations

Qualifications

Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Four additional years' experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Expert knowledge with Middleware Administration

• Strong knowledge of middleware technologies such as Oracle WebLogic, Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTPD, Talend etc.

• Experience with middleware configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef is a plus.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or PowerShell.

• Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Other skills: Cloud services (AWS, Azure), Experience in Azure DEVOPS environment, including deployment and maintenance of cloud native services

• Good written and verbal communication

• Detail-oriented, analytical problem-solving skills
