    HARBORVIEW'S MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES (HMHAS) department has an outstanding opportunity for a MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER Work Schedule

    • 24 hours per week.

    • Day Shift PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide DBT therapy to the patients in the program. This will include individual and group therapy, coaching, case management and crisis management

    • Document clinical interactions in the medical chart

    • Prepare recovery plans for patients enrolled in the King County RSN

    • Screen patients for the program. This will include taking direct referrals, referral from in-patient units and other clinicians in the community

    • Work with patients' families and social networks

    • Coordinate medication services with team's medical staff

    • Testify in judicial proceedings in response to subpoenas REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • A master's degree in behavioral sciences, such as psychology, psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, vocational or educational counseling, or social work

    • OR bachelor's degree in nursing or a behavioral science AND three years of experience in the direct delivery of professional mental health care.

    • Registration as either a Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor by the State of Washington within 6 months of employment

    • Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
