HARBORVIEW'S MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTION SERVICES (HMHAS) department has an outstanding opportunity for a MENTAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER Work Schedule
24 hours per week.
Day Shift PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide DBT therapy to the patients in the program. This will include individual and group therapy, coaching, case management and crisis management
Document clinical interactions in the medical chart
Prepare recovery plans for patients enrolled in the King County RSN
Screen patients for the program. This will include taking direct referrals, referral from in-patient units and other clinicians in the community
Work with patients' families and social networks
Coordinate medication services with team's medical staff
Testify in judicial proceedings in response to subpoenas REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
A master's degree in behavioral sciences, such as psychology, psychiatric nursing, occupational therapy, vocational or educational counseling, or social work
OR bachelor's degree in nursing or a behavioral science AND three years of experience in the direct delivery of professional mental health care.
Registration as either a Licensed Social Worker, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor by the State of Washington within 6 months of employment
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
